PURPOSE:
Barasch & McGarry is seeking a Business Intelligence Manager to lead and expand our Business Intelligence function within the Information Systems team. This role is critical in shaping the firm’s data strategy, driving analytics initiatives, and ensuring data-driven decision-making across all areas of the organization.
We are looking for a strategic thinker with deep technical expertise in Business Intelligence tools and Salesforce. Our firm uses Domo as our Business Intelligence platform, and this role will be key in optimizing its use, driving user adoption, and ensuring seamless integration with other business systems.
As part of the Information Systems team, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders across all departments to develop insights that drive both operational and strategic decisions. You will lead Business Intelligence initiatives, ensure data quality and integrity, and play a key role in expanding and developing the Business Intelligence function at Barasch & McGarry.
Note: This position is based in our Lower Manhattan office and requires in-person attendance Monday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Fridays. Fully remote work is not available.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the Director of Information Systems in defining and executing data strategies that align with the firm’s goals.
- Collaborate closely with the Information Systems Manager to oversee Business Intelligence projects and assess the personnel needs and capacity of the Business Intelligence team.
- Partner with the Business Applications Manager and Development Manager to align systems, processes, and Business Intelligence initiatives for seamless data flow.
- Train, mentor, and support junior analysts and end-users, enhancing their ability to leverage Domo and Salesforce for data-driven decision-making.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on Domo and Salesforce, optimizing their integration and maximizing their impact on business operations.
- Analyze complex datasets to provide stakeholders with clear, actionable insights that support strategic initiatives.
- Gather business requirements and translate them into scalable, high-quality data solutions, ensuring alignment with firm objectives.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize ETL processes, dashboards, and reports in Domo and Salesforce to improve data accessibility.
- Oversee the integration and validation of third-party data to ensure consistency, accuracy, and usability.
- Champion data governance standards and best practices to maintain high-quality, reportable data.
- Present findings and recommendations through well-structured reports, presentations, and documentation to inform key decision-makers.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Required:
- 7–10 years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or a related field.
- Expert-level proficiency in Domo or related business intelligence platforms, including administrator experience.
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce Sales or Service Cloud, including configuration and data management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
- Must be available to work on-site Monday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Fridays.
- Certifications in Domo (e.g., Domo Professional, Domo Data Specialist, MajorDomo) and/or Salesforce Administrator certification.
- Master’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, or related field.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

- Expertise in designing and implementing scalable data solutions using Domo and Salesforce.
- Strong technical documentation and data governance skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Proven experience in training, mentoring, and supporting end-users and junior analysts.
- Understanding of Domo’s consumption-based pricing model and its impact on Business Intelligence strategy.
- Commitment to staying updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
